Bandwith monitoring - console software

Hi everyone,

do You know any good software for bandwith monitoring ?
I need a console software. Something which can collect data and export to html or excel tables. Unfortunately for security reasons I cant use software which generate html pages.

The best will be soft which can collect information every few seconds to the text file.

cheers

well if you see something in the list that interest you.. I'm sure it would be simple to check if it's in the repository, no ?

Debian allows us to search the repository, so I would think yum would have similar capabilities..
for instance
Code:
it-lenny:~$ aptitude search iptraf
p iptraf - Interactive Colorful IP LAN Monitor
so how does yum search ? yum search <packagename>

Now you have to decide if anything in the list looks of tools looks like it will fit your needs, then check if it's available in your repositories..
