backup solution


hi everyone

i work in a datacenter and i need an opensource backup solution. i have around 50 linux servers include oracle database , application servers and so on . i want to backup from OS's(redhat4 , 5 and centos6) and specified directories. thanks in advance

Have a look at amanda. http://www.amanda.org/.

I am using that in our own DC and client DC. Works great with about 3xx linux servers.

thanks. does amanda support oracle servers?

ORACLE should be backed up by RMAN (online recoverable backup). You can use the amanda to back up the datasets created by RMAN.
