Automated build system - Using Trac0.11, buildbot and or ant? suggestions or howtos.
 

Hello everyone,

I finished my Trac 0.10.3 to 0.11 upgrade, it went smoothly suprisingly. I am now looking at doing an automated build system for our software. I did a quick google and looked at Trac-hacks and found buildbot.

It raised the following questions:

-Our software is Windows based and eclipse driven. Therefore the automated builder would have to know a few specialized things. Are there plugins for eclipse to help this along?

-Has anyone else done something similar? lately I've been finding myself looking into unique and non-mainstream solutions to get the solutions I/work wants.

We basically want something that automates a build after a svn checkin. At night it would do the build and give an error report should something go wrong.

Ideas, or suggestions?

Some more additional information:

Since we are using eclipse, what ways are there to automate?
-ant?
-buildbot on a windows machine?
-are there plugins for eclipse that can do this?
-schedule a script that can be ran from cmd?
