Exclamation Attachment size increases when delivered to receiver.

Hi
I am facing a issue of attachments size automatically increases.
For ex :-
“ when I send an attachment of 2mb it get delivered to receiver as 2.7mb, but after downloading it shows again as 2mb only”.
In this case if someone send an attachment of 4.5mb it did not deliver, because of Attachment size limit=5mb .

My postconf shows-
postconf -n
alias_database = hash:/etc/aliases
alias_maps = hash:/etc/aliases

config_directory = /etc/postfix
daemon_directory = /usr/libexec/postfix

This is normal.
Your file is mime-encoded as text for inclusion in the SMTP transaction, which is inefficient, hence the increase in apparent size when transmitted.
The mail program likely reports the original "binary" size.

The encoding overhead is around 30%, so if you can't change your max size from 5Mb then you will generally only be able to e-mail files of just over 3Mb

This is essentially a duplicate of what you asked in your OTHER thread, where you got an answer with an explanation. Did you not read/understand it? You were asked NUMEROUS questions in that thread, none of which you've answered yet.

Read the LQ rules about posting the same question more than once, and again, unless you're going to answer questions and participate, there is NO POINT in posting.
