apt-get not found?
 
Im trying to run apt-get install/update and i keep getting Command not found :S

what am i doing wrong? im trying this as root.

Have you tried looking for it in the bin folders, or using locate? Perhaps it got deleted by accident. Also, posting the actual command with the error would be good.

Are you doing it as root? Are you using a distro that uses apt-get?

It is going to depend on the flavor of Linux you are running. It could be one of several different applications available to load updates. If it is a red-hat distribution you can probably find out which one is installed by check the man pages for rpm. If nothing else Google the OS and 'update package' (ie. Centos 4 update package) and you will find out what is available.

im using the newest version of debian.
Yes im doing it as root.
