Post apache web server config file

hi,

it may be a simple doubt i have but i really want to know this,

in the httpd.conf file under the server root of apache server.

they have instructed not to add a slash at the end when mentioning or giving the path for server root.

I think both will still remain the same, then y is that mentioned that way ??

in my httpd.conf file ... the server root;s path is given as

"/etc/httpd"

"/etc/httpd/" is also correct i guess... or am i wrong on this....

regards

Question apache config file

rohit ur correct, the config file for apache is in /etc/httpd/httpd.conf

but my question is within this config file under server root
it has been told not to give a slash at the end. but by giving the slash also do not make any difference.

if i am correct then y is it mentioned........ so

Regarding the trailing slash in ServerRoot: some parts of apache may be able to deal with it but since, the documentation explicitly states to omit it: you should.
