Apache Virtual Hosting
Hello,
I am having problem with apache configuration to serv my web sites. I wont to use multiple web sites with only one IP address. The problem is that no mater how many web sites I create with Virtualmin it allways opens the same page. I have spent for almost three days searching for solution with no luck. My system looks like this: Debian lenny Virtualmin Apache2 v2.2.9 with php5 and mysql. apache config (default): Code:
# Code:
<VirtualHost 192.168.0.1:80> I did have to recompile apache suexec mode to use /home dir as home directory. And this was done without errors. Please Help THX |
Where is your website config file located? Did you run a2ensite to enable it? And did you reload/restart Apache afterwards to apply the changes?

Hey,
I dont need to do that. Virtualmin is doing that autmaticly, but i did try to restart apache. I also did try to reinstall apache, php and all related packagaes with no success. Website config is located in /etc/apache2/sites-available. Web site is enabled in sites-enabled, its linked to original file. Can you tell me what mode apache is using for domain redirection? |
Ok, I found the problem.
Web config that is above has <VirtualHost 192.168.0.1:80> And other web sites config files have <VirtualHost *:80> I only needed to put IP address of server instend of *, and now its working. Thx for Help |
I can tag your OP "solved", but I understand that you can now mark it "solved" using the "Thread Tools" button.
Failing that, you can add "[solved]" to the title w/ an edit. BTW, thanks for sharing the solution -- it helps others, just as they help you. |
