Apache log files

I'm running Apache 2.0.53 on Mandriva 2005LE. So far I have left it configured in the default state as it came with the distro. It appears to be running correctly and can be accessed from both my internal LAN and externally.

I should like to delve deeper into this app and later use it to distribute a web page but I am at a loss to find where to configure it or even more important - view the log files which it supposedly generates.

In particular, I would like to see the "access" log file.

Can anybody help please.

Look in the "base" Apache directory for a directory named logs. If you don't know where Apache is, use the find utility and look for 'access_log' or 'error_log' like this
Code:
find / -name 'access_log' -print
(you'll probably need to be logged in as root).

Different distributions seem to put Apache's directories in different places, among them /opt, /etc, /usr... Look for the log file names and you should find what you're looking for.
