Apache CustomLog question

Hi!

I have a debian server running apache 1.3.34 and php5 that I use mainly for web hosting and recently I've donated some space to a friend who's running a web forum. I would like to give him (ie, his user) full access to the access logs for his specific virtual host entry.

I've set it up so that the logs are sent to a subdirectory of his home directory, but he still can't use them, since his user doesn't have the access right to do anything with them at all.

Is there a simple way to configure the virtual host customlog entry so that his user is given fill access privileges to those log files?

Thanks.

Hi Exterus,
It's possible If you add your user into group that is same as to those log files.
or set postscript parameter into virtual host conf file that will change ownership after creating log files.
