allowable maximum load on mysql per second and pgsql too


hi all
I plan to design a web site and
I am in doubt in choosing between pgsql
an mysql .
Imoportant parameter for me is speed
i think the allowable maximum load
and speed of reaction on each of load
range very important
I have two type of queries
1)with four sipmle sql statement for each user
and in pick times i guess i have 500 user
2)three simple sql statement for each user
and in pick times i guess i have 4000 user
please guide me

Dude, save yourself the hassle and headaches of nitpicking down to each query you'll be running and just go with PostgreSQL. It's better overall, trust me.

And while this advocates FreeBSD primarily I thought the values were still
quite interesting in terms of comparing MySQL with the good product.

Not that Linux stacked up too badly in comparison to FreeBSD ;}
