Have you looked to see what is still running on the box? It could be something like a crashed web server. And what log files did you look at?

Are the websites back up after restarting?

I suspect it is having a little difficulty resolving its own hostname, but since it is ignoring this error, it shouldn't be causing the problem.

That looks like a misconfigured vhosts config file, but since it is a warning, it shouldn't be causing the problem unless you were using virtual hosts to support your sites.

is Httpd running? (ps aux)

if so: is traffic getting to httpd? (run tcpdump port 80 or 443, then try to hit it from another host)

if not: check firewall settings.
if so: check the httpd.conf file for errors
