advantages/disadvantes of bind dns on my webserver


I have a server which is primarily serving web sites... I don't really get why I would be setting up a DNS server, can someone please shed some light on it for me?

So that you can manage everything from start to finish for your websites. Without doing your own DNS, you have to depend on somebody else to map your domains to IP addresses. I would do it in a heartbeat. DNS is very easy to setup and administer.
