adding a new quota

Hello.
I need a way to set a new users quota, with a single comand entered. So insted of having to enter "edquota name" and then moving to the right coloumb etc something like "edquot name 250 hard" (odviously not that though!). The resion i need this is so they can be set from a diffrent script

Is there a way i can do that?
Many Thanks

Only command I know of is called gfs_quota. Never dealt with it since it is something used with cluster systems. May require an option in the kernel to be built. Most info seen is Redhat related. http://man.chinaunix.net/linux/redhat/rh-gfs-en-6.0/ . Search google on this for more info.

Only other way I can think of if not wanting to use the edquota command because of vi is use a gui type interface through a web browser called Webmin.

If not liking vi as the ediotr then maybe issuing this command to change the editor may work. Not sure but the edquota may be vi dependent.
export EDITOR=nedit
