Accessing the Ftp on the server.


Hello,

I am having the server with some web sites configured on it with apache web server. The issue i have found that somebody has accessed the ftp of the site and added the code in the pages of the site.So can any body let me know is it possible to access the ftp without having login details? i have also checked the permissions on the server and it seems that those are secured one.

any clue please reply.

Do you own that box? If do, please provide FTP server's configuration file, so we can check if everything is in order (don't worry, you cant compromise your site by posting FTP's config files).

If you do not own a box (shared webhosting, etc.) than complain to your hosting firm.
