404 Error Page Not Working


I put this in the htaccess file already but it's still showing 'Page cannot be found" what did I do wrong?

ErrorDocument 404 /errorpage.html

That syntax looks correct according to http://httpd.apache.org/docs/2.0/mod...#errordocument. If you try the URL in your browser does it work (e.g. http://www.yourdomain.com/errorpage.html)?

No, it says Page cannot be found.

Then you need to make sure that the file errorpage.html is in the DocumentRoot location and has the same ownership and permissions as the other files in that directory. It mat also be SELinux settings - are you using SELinux?
