Hi,

So I have a ownCloud 5 on a Debian Squeeze and I was wondering what the group are for?

Can anyone make this clear for me? How should I create my users? With what group? I'm confused and I see no official documentation about it :/.

At the same time, if you guys have good link for ownCloud security, it would be great :).

I use ownCloud ONLY to make user share file with poeple outside of our network (In https of course).

I don't understand how ownCloud manage groups and I don't understand what admin groups is.
For instance, I created a group call "users". Okay, cool, now what... !?

The wierd thing is there NOTHING about "groups" in the documentation and this is why i'm asking here my question...

It seems to be that they have explicitly modeled the security after the Linux example.

Make a non-god-mode group.
Make a god-mode group.
Added regular-joe account to and from both and test each.

Create a "remote" group and transfer "employees". It can be amusing.

Why is there group when I have no way to mange them??
What the h*** is admin group??

How was it installed? apt-get or a manual install?

I read that other software use that "approach" too, so that maybe we'll find some documentation, somewhere, someday?
