yppasswd in debian

Hello all,
I want to modify password of a nis user by yppasswd.
but in debian, there are much more restrictions, such as "The password must have both upper and lowercase letters, or non-letters." or "The password must have at least 6 characters.", and I have used PAM before, it doesn't work.

Is there any suggestion to disable these restrictions in debian?
Thanks a lot.

This is caused by requirements in the PAM configuration files. You can get more information here;
