wu-ftp question


I have wu-ftp running on redhat 7.2 and i know it uses unencrypted passwords so my question is if some one on my network uses a packet sniffer will they get user passwords and is there any other security aspects that i should be aware of useing this service ?

Yes they can, ftp is very insecure. Use sftp instead.
