wireless password recovery


dear gurus,

using linux is there any tools by which we can recover the wireless password. in fact, we write somewhere and we lost it. if we reset we will lose all setting and take longer time to configure it.

What password? Something like wpa or wpa2 key? It is set in your wireless router. What make is it? You can go to the router management console and then look for it. There is usually an option to show the characters for the passphrase.
You can atleast know the length of the key and then do some guessing.
