Which Security Patches to install

Hi,

I just installed RedHat 8.0. I am new to linux, so my question is, which Security patches do I need to install. After reading through these threads I understand only the ones for services that I am using, but how far back do I have to go: ex: If there are 3 patches for SQL with different dates, can I just install the latest patch or do I have to go back and install all the patches that I find for SQL?

Typically with Redhat, you will find that the old security alerts contain "File outdated by" in them, and the link points to the latest version of the RPM.
