Where do cookies and temp internet files go in Mandrake 10.1 ?
And what do you watch and how to what it, to make sure you don't have
malicious software on your system?

what browser are you using?

anyway, most malicious content is written for windows so there is little to worry about.
you can install something like clamav and do a virus scan on your entire pc from time to time.

Guess it depends on what browser you are using... opera, firefox, konqueror, links, etc.

Cookies and temp internet files go into your home directory under .opera, .mozilla, etc. Pretty much the standard. A regular user doesn't have write permission to any other directory except his home dir and /tmp. That is pretty much it.
