wget


Hi,

Could anyone tell me which is the require port for "wget" access to M$ IIS FTP server beside port 20 & 21?

wget defaults to passive ftp transfermode. So it will use ports higher than 1024 for transfers. But it will use port 21 for authentication.

you can try using wget --active-ftp ...

I can't find any option call --active-ftp!

Anyway, I'm used wget version 1.8.2 in Suse 8.2 box.

sorry, that option comes with version 1.9

the man pages of wget v 1.8.2 do not suggest it operates in passive-ftp mode by default.

Please post the error message, perhaps that will lead us to a solution.

There is no special error message except "Connection Refused" because everytime "wget" use different port.
