Well, I'm not a MOD, but I would hope this doesn't push the rules: nothing illegal here, just a good natured contest to test the security of IIS6. :)

Additional commentary can be found in Slashdot's coverage of this story. Personally, as someone there already mentioned, I kind of wonder if it might just be a publicity stunt by the sponsors. An Xbox might be a pretty cool prize, but it's not much of a reward for the value of the work involved. It sort of reminds me of that old joke: A bunch of people are at a party, and one guy discovers that he has misplaced his wallet. He clinks his glass to get everyone's attention, and announces "Attention everyone - I seem to have lost my wallet, containing $400, my credit cards, and my ATM card. I'll offer a $50 reward to anyone who returns it." There's a brief pause, then a voice from the back of the room calls out "I'll offer $100!" Ha! -- J.W.
