vsftpd anonymous overwrite

I am using vsftpd-1.0.1 running in xinetd on RH8. I have allowed anonymous users to upload and download files within their chroot which I have changed from the default.

My problem is:

anonymous users are unable to OVERWRITE any files. They can upload them but not overwrite.

Has anyone else come across this problem or know the solution/reason!!!!

Is this option uncommented in your config file?

anon_other_write_enable=YES

Maybe that could help

Yea the line is uncommented, which means I can delete and rename files put I can't overwrite files?

I'm encoutering the same situation with vsFTPd 2.0.1 :
anonymous users are not able to overwrite anonymous uploaded files

Did you find any solution that you would share ?
