vsFTP

General newbie question. I'm trying to upload files from a winxp client to a vsFTP server. I need the chmod properties to allow others to download these files. I'm not sure how to accomplish this, I'm hopeing someone will be able to help figure out how to accomplish this because I only have remote access to this box.

What happens when you try to do it?

Do you get an error or something?

I'm able to succefully upload the file. The problem is I'm unable to edit the properties to allow others to download these files.

Thanks for your fast reply

Yes, but why are you unable to do it? Do the permissions just not change or do you get a specific error message? Also - which client are you using?

I should also point out that I set this server up as an anonymous user only FTP server. So I maybe out of luck but I wanted to be sure that there were no other options.

Ah - you will probably need to have user access to change the permissions on the files.

Client is FileZilla

When I try to do this in passive mode I get disconnected.
