urgent help needed on ftp proxy

Hi, there,
I am trying to do a project on proxy firewall currently. I have three computers on hand, one has squid proxy server installed, one is working as a client, and the third one is working as a server. What I want to do is let the proxy computer forward request from the client to the server computer. (say, do the ftp command). However, it seems that the squid proxy didn't do the forwarding job. What kind of configuration file I have to modify? Or maybe there is a better ftp proxy than Squid?
