unlocking an account after too many failed attempts

How does one unlock an account when it is locked by too many failed attempts for login?

Perhaps you seek something like:
Code:

faillog -u corrado -r
...it depends on your setup and what kind of login you're referring to.

BTW, I've moved your post to its own thread, as you've noticed (please don't resurrect dead threads).
