hi, am using smoothwall 0.9.9 SE with all available patches applied. I am able to connect to my firewall box via the browser and configure it. However, I am unable to get to any internet sites. Whatever URL i enter i keep getting the smoothwall home configuration page. What settings do I need to change to get out onto the internet?
I have scoured the smoothwall documentation but cannot find an answer to this problem. Would be most grateful for any assistance.
I think it is a security question...
Looks like smothwall is too well configured, so it's not allowing net access.
Check if it is blocking port 80 and if there is masqerade configured. And if you have default route set to the interface that connects you to the Net.
