Turning firewall off

Hi. My name is Daniel Doumani. I have a game called legends of might and magic, and I want to host a game. But I cant, because of my firewall. Can somebody please tell me how to turn my firewall off, and how to turn it back on, and can you please be specific.
I have a windows ME.
thank you
Daniel Doumani

ipchains -F

Are you asking a windows question?

Or do you have a windows box on a lan, that goes trough a linux firewall to the net?

Or are you just as lost as me?

you didnt answer the question.

Is linux/windows on the same comp?

or is it something like:

net --> linux (firewall) --> windows ME

You need to be a lot more specific on your network setup.

And why don't you tell us what distro you have.
; )

Do you own the firewall computer?

The "distro" is the distribution of linux that is installed (slackware, RedHat, SuSE, et cetera)

Your distro is what you installed (Slackware, Mandrake, Red Hat, Debian, etc., etc,)And it's shown at your login.
