trying to make apache talk to mysql with security enhancement on

i used http://fedora.redhat.com/docs/selinux-apache-fc3/ to get apache working without forbidden errors in the common webspace. since the server has several users contributiing to a site, the space is in /var/www/html/

the problem is that php needs to talk to mysql. apache, under se, stops this.
i cannot find a wya to write a policy that isnt there by default.. i know how to manually edit those, but not write something new. i'm looking for help to write something new that would allow me to know how to write a policy to allow mysql calls from apache, and also where to put it.

due to the situation i am in, turning off SE on apache isnt possible. i need it to stop some other things.

does anyone have any reference material tha tmight help? the se space at sourceforge wasnt helpful, nor the nsa write up about how even this fails

Try:
http://elibrary.fultus.com/technical...n-4/cover.html

Although it's for Red Hat EL 4, it doesn't really matter as it is about SELinux
