Tripwire policy Q

I need to check all files in a certain directory, with some exceptions. These files will change frequently via a cron job.
Code:
$ ls /target/dir
file1
file2
file3
cron1
cron2
I can setup tripwire to do this with the following policy:
Code:
/target/dir  -> $(SEC_BIN) (recurse = 1);
!/target/dir/cron1;
!/target/dir/cron2;
Problem is that after the cron jab is run, tripwire complains about the directory /target/dir being modified. How can I check the integrity of the files in the folder (without listing each file individually in the policy file), and not have tripwire complain about the directory itself?

If this is still bothering you, information about files in a directory are stored in the directory entry. Try excluding checking some attributes for the directory entry itself (inodes, MAC times).
