Hi all,

This is probably a pretty easy question.

I am running Red Hat 7.0. I ran the /etc/tripwire/ command and went thru the steps to create the database, and config files.

In my cron.daily I have a line that runs tripwire-check and I'm getting an error:

**** Error: Tripwire database for servername not found. ****
**** Run /etc/tripwire/ and/or tripwire --init. ****

After I run the twinstall do I need to do anything else? Any help would be appreciated.

Wink Installing and Configuring Tripwire

you need to Initialize the Tripwire database file, (/usr/sbin/tripwire --init). Then run the first integrity check. (/usr/sbin/tripwire --check).

Check out a great page on tripwire stuff:

Good Luck!

Thumbs up

Thanks. I got that figured out and now I'm working on my policy file.
