trend chipway virus detected boot virus

Installed knoppix to hd, using my own boot manager xosl, chose not to have lilo installed to the mbr. However when I choose to boot knoppix and lilos menu shows up I get the warning mentioned in the subject line. It's probably nothing and I should look into disabling this check in the bios however just wanted to make sure.

Probably due to XOSL changing the bootsector yes. IIRC Knoppix comes with an AV scanner, so you should be able to double check it before dismissing it. Haven't seen bootsector viruses in ages...
