Tor browser
I've just downloaded the Tor browser onto my machine and am wondering
can browsing with the Tor browser allow malware to be injected into my machine. |
Its not bulletproof, its for some anonymity, but proper browser use/caution is still advocated, actually even more so since you can do things to nullify the protection.
You can minimize by running it in a liveCD, contain it to a non root partition etc... Porn sites just like hookers will still be virus/malware prone. |
yes and no
java-script is ENABLED!!!! by default ( this will soon change in newer versions ) so disable that also you CAN!!! be fingerprinted by: the installed fonts the screen resolution and the tor browser window size the installed plugins -- DO NOT install any on the clear net flash can still install a forever cookie - if that plugin is used -- search for the linking to "dev/null" solution and so on and on and on as to non auto install if you download it then .... |

But being surrounded by people who complain about anybody else *not* end their own misery and who do not want anything as long as they do not have to take responsibility for not having done anything by themselves... you will give these answers yourself after a while. Think and you will be fine. |
Thanks
