Thunar connection to an other Linux ... gvfs "Too many authentication attempts"

Hello everyone,

thanks to permit me to write here.
My computer is a laptop under Debian - MATE

I've connected many time from my laptop to two Raspberry Pi throw sftp connection under Thunar. Such connections have been bookmarked.

Meanwhile, I've changed the SSH keys.

Since the key change, i always receive an error message like
"Too many authentication attempts"

Results of my investigation: that is from gvfs system

I have no clue where to investigate more, where are the links between Raspberry IP and SSH keys are stored.

I tried:
  • Change keys name
    change keys name
  • Console command /usr/lib/gvfsd-sftp pi@192.168.3.134=
    It asked for a key
  • Console command /usr/lib/gvfsd-sftp pi@192.168.3.134=empty
Seams to work for a short while
    Then, same results in Thunar
  • erase keys with Seahorse
    Nothing better
  • erase files form ~/.local/share/gvfs-metadata/
    Nothing

Any idea ?

Thanks.

you are jumping from A to Z.
You need to show us everything.
commands issued, output received etc.

why did you do these things, and again, You need to show us everything.

another thing you can do:
  • kill thunar completely, make sure it doesn't automatically restart itself
  • then start thunar from a terminal
  • see what output you get while reproducing the problem
