Test your linux skill.

Hi all,

I just setup a web server and config system security.

I think I am done with all security settings, and I would like to invite all internet friend or hacker to crash my system or change my webpage.

I hope you can do following items.
1. Change index.html content or delete it.
2. Shutdown(disable) httpd service.
3. Create a user.
4. Delete /etc/rc.local
5. Change root's password.

Please DO NOT use DoS/DDoS to attack my test server, because the test server is not building on high bandwidh line.

Below is my test server information.

Domain: [MODERATED]
Shell: telnet (23 port)
root password: 123456
I also create a normal user whcih name is "andy"
Andy's password: 123456

Thank you for your reading.

Regards,
Chris

Since your request here is not on the same site you are asking us to attack it is not safe to assume you are the owner.

: telnet (23 port)

disable the VERY insecure telnet!!!!
use ssh

it is also a VERY VERY BAD idea to have root and a normal user have the same password

and 123456 is well to quote " President Skroob "
" that is the same combination i have on my luggage"

a VERY BAD and very insecure password

First of all there is no way we can establish your ownership of the domain name, server or any services and secondly LQ does not condone you to ask forum members to participate in illegal activities. Should you wish to clarify this then email me.
