Suspicious modem-driver

Hi,

I noticed that I couldn't unmount a floppy tonight because /mnt/floppy was being accessed by my modem driver.

I don't see any reason at all why it should do this and can't find any direct references to /mnt/floppy or /dev/fd0 in the source.

I wonder if this could be a possible exploit, or am I just being paranoid?

The modem driver is the Alcatel Speedtouch 330 USB.

Did you cd out of the /mnt/floppy directory before trying to umount?
Did you umount, and not unmount?
