Storing DDoS logs


Hello guys.
I want to ask how can i store DDoS logs/ips of attackers while some1 is attacking my server.
IS there some nice script which do so ?

Have you considered the iptables LOG option

Isn't it is like it will store every packet which server receives ? not only ips of attackers?
