ssh using keys only work with -i option

Hi All

So the yesterday I was messing around with my private key for testing, but backed it up before doing so. Once I was done testing I resorted my private key. Now when I try to log on to a server which has my public key I am promoted for a password. However if I use the -i option and point to .ssh/id_rsa.back it works

1. Both my id_rsa and id_rsa.back are the same md5sum(15be16ab2136fdebbcfacf1391fdb844)
2. File permission on both are
Code:
ls -lZ
-rw------- 1 bboy bboy ? 1679 Dec 2 09:27 id_rsa
-rw------- 1 bboy bboy ? 1679 Dec 2 09:28 id_rsa.back
3. using the -i option and select the default .ssh/id_rsa does NOT work either.

please help.
