ssh question???

i have came across some kind of authentication using public key and private key.
so, how am i going to engage my ssh with a private key and public key.
FYI, i am testing it on my RH8 machine. if it is workable i will put it into my production server (RH8).
so, basically, i wan to know how to generate private/public key? and also, how am i binding my ssh channel for the key authentication?

As the above post states use ssh-keygen to make your keys. As for your last question
if I read you correctly you want to only allow keyed authentication, as apposed to the standard password auth? To do this you edit sshd_config change the PasswordAuthentication option to no.
