squid still able to download exe

Hi

I just wondering why my squid proxy server can able to download exe even i blocked it there is some site that exe is blocked once user try to download it but there is some site they can able to download exe.

please anyone can help me

Hi,

Without squid.conf it's hard to guess what's wrong.

sorry for delayed response

here is my config

acl exefile urlpath_regex -i (.*)\.exe$
http_access deny exefile

some executable i can able to download
for exmaple the java
if i browse to the official website then i click online or even offline
the apps will prompt it unlike other executable is totally blocked.

Doh, just tested your code here and it works as expected.
I.e. it blocks downloading the jre exe files from the oracle/java download page
