SPF Soft Failure
 

Not sure if this is the correct forum but since SPF has to do with identifying the sender of an email I thought I'd try here. Since last Thursday afternoon I've been seeing this whenever postfix sends and email to either myself as a log snip or reports spam to 'uce.gov'.

AFAICT it's not hampering the sending of these however I'm curious as to why suddenly this decided to pop up.

If this is not the correct forum please let me know and I'll move it to the correct one.

Thanks for the link, I'm wondering though why this warning just started last Thursday. I've been using postfix this way for many years.

That I do not know. From what I read, it looks like your email server provider has to manage its authorized clients. It may be that they just recently turned it on and now your "forwarded" email is getting flagged.

That's possible, odd that after all these years they started using it. At least it's a 'soft fail' and the messages are still getting through. I guess I could forward an example to centurylink and see what they say.
