Snort Stats Daily Log?

Newbie Here! I would like to see snort-stats generate a log entry for everyday of the week. I think that this can be done by adding an entry in my crontab -e file?? I'm not sure how to set it up where it will record snort-stat and redirect it to another dir. while incrementing the date for each day. Any help would be grateful, thanks.

Look inside the snort_stat.pl Perl script and you'll see what you need as comment.
