Snort on a transparent bridge?


Dumb question...will snort work on a transparent bridge?

It should. I've even heard talk of setting up a linux box as a transparent switch for a network that also runs snort on it, but I've never actually attempted this.

Yes it will work fine - I've done it on a production firewall at work.
