I had this running in the past, but failed to keep it updated. Now I have decided to reopen this little project and it looks like everything is running, Im not getting any errors, but acid isnt updating.

pgsql running.
Snort is logging in /var/log/alerts
Acid is configured and I get the opening page (i.e. bar charts and percentages) but it doesnt update.

Im hoping one of you could please point me in the right direction. I tried to open up my firewall, verified permissions to the DB... but Im not sure where to go from here.

Is your snort.conf file edited to report to the pgsql database? Did you do all the things to establish a database for the events to report to?

I'd go back through the documentation with a fine-tooth comb to see if I'd missed anything crucial.

I'm betting it's a dbase issue.

its not writing to the DB, so on to the config.
