SMTP servers leaking info


It is common for SMTP servers to leak info about the internal network, such as internal host name and IP address?

By leaking I mean have these pieces of data show up in the email headers.

Yep. If someone knows how to stop this I'm all ears. Mangle with iptables perhaps?

I suspect that removing this info from your mail headers will trip spam filters for many mail providers.
