Smile Setup A Firewall


I want to set up a firewall ( use iptable).Which red hat version is better?( 7.3, 8.0 or 9.0)

It does not matter.

If you install an older version of RedHat, simply download the lastest RPM for iptables, lokkit (but you don't even need lokkit if you do everything from console mode) and the kernel.
You may also need to upgrade depending on what you install.

RedHat 9 has a better GUI and the lastest versions of everything.
