Setting single Sign on using openLDAP

I have a openLDAP server and I want to setup a single sign on environment of Linux Machines using this LDAP server. Basically I want to have all the user information like the password, uid, gid, home shell to be stored in the LDAP server and an LDAP authentication taking place when any user logs on to any Linux box.

Any pointers to this?Help greatly appreciated..

I would start by looking at the documentation found on padl's web site:

http://www.padl.com/Contents/Documentation.html

(notice that padl is LDAP spelled backwards :)

I'm using padl and nss_ldap to authenticate all of my unix flavors (sol, hp-ux, linux, aix) against my LDAP server.
There is a lot of info here. Start by looking at the HOWTO's.
