Setting password on grub, wha to do after changing default values in /boot/grub/menu.
 
Hi everybody

I have two computers both running by Debian, one using Debian Woddy 3.0, and second one using Debian Sarge 3.1
In Debian Woddy default boot manager is LILO, and I set up a password on it, after I type lilo as root to verify changes and it works all right.

Now I want to set up a password on GRUB.
If I set it in /boot/grub/menu.lst and save it using wq! in vim editor, should I type boot to verify my changes or not?

As long as /boot/grub/menu.lst is the file that GRUB is checking, then you should be fine. You can test your new password by rebooting, and attempting to edit (press 'e' at menu) the GRUB options.
