Security Books
Hello There,
I just want to buy a Good Linux Security Book. Please let me know the good one you read. Thanks Palitha |
While not specific to Linux a while back I went through O'Reilly's 'Practicle UNIX and Internet Security' which seems very good. Have a look on some of the linux sites like http://www.linux.org/books/index.html they sometimes seem to offer some good reviews of Linux related books - including security orientated ones... As I always seem to say, have a look at O'Reilly's offerings, they're always good - http://security.oreilly.com/ and http://linux.oreilly.com/
cheers Jamie... |
I bought a couple of really good books on linux security recently. The titles are 'real world security for linux' and 'maximum linux security'. Both are very good books and am getting to learn quite a bit from them...

Thanks, I bought a book called " Linux Security Toolkit".
I'm still reading don't know yet good or not. |
A v-good book that covers up to the 2.2 Kernel, is called Hacking Linux Exposed.
You'll need a medium understanding of Network fundamentals and Linux OS's to get anything out of it. Not recommended for advance Linux security people. It covers a very good current range of security problems on Linux systems, with good examples and website references. ISBN 0-07-212773-2 "Osborne" /Raz |
